Repeal the Lautenberg Amendment

Created by J.P. on March 30, 2013

In 1997 a law was passed this was called the laughtenberg amendment and was backdated so anyone convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence before the law was put in also suffered from the law. This law is very broad in what is considered domestic violence, kicking a door in an argument is by law considered domestic violence, so if you kick a door in an argument with a partner or family member and they call the cops on you and you get convicted since you are guilty until proven innocent in a dv case you loose your right to carry a fire arm. This law should be repealed. Please help repeal this poorly written law
