The Lautenberg amendment prohibits ANY person convicted of a crime of domestic violence from ever owning a firearm. This includes misdemeanor convictions. There are almost no solutions to have this fundamental RIGHT, not privilege, restored. This amendment violates the constitution on several levels, and does absolutely nothing to prevent further violence. Please repeal this amendment so that many people who have made mistakes, can return to their lives again.
