repeal the law giving him, G.W. Bush and future former presidents and their spouses lifetime Secret Service protection.

Created by D.K. on January 10, 2013

In a time when we are focused on budget cuts to be fair for increasing taxes to raise revenue, now is not the time to be rolling back previous budget cuts. If we are to adopt the motto, "The rich can afford to pay a little more," then it is fair and more than generous to expect former Presidents to pay for their own security 10 years after they leave office. After all, the Presidency is the highest paying job in the land. Rather than using tax dollars to pay for Secret Service for former presidents for life, we should be encouraging them to hire veterans who are well trained in combat and defense, will be coming home from war, and will need jobs since Congress was ineffective in passing a Veteran's Jobs bill.
