Currently in Mississippi law 97-29-47 states that if any person curses, swears, uses vugler or indecent language in the presence of two or more people they may be fined up to $100 imprisioned in county jail for 30 days, or both. It is in the first ammendment that we have a constitutional right for freedom of speech, this clearly violates that right,it restricts the ability of any persons in Mississippi to use the full spectrum of the english language. On top of this the law itself is very indescript, leaveing room for inconsistant accusations of the crime; officers of the law may perceive one persons expression as indecent language. This is to say that an officer taking offence to any opinion could potentially place you under arrest simply because your expression of opinion offends them.
