Over the past two decades, Congress has passed laws that are direct conflicts of interest. These laws exempt members of Congress from the laws they pass and grant them monetary gains without oversight.
The automatic raise is a blatant example. Our government is supposed to be a representative government, there are few among the populous that can rely on an automatic raise unless they vote it down.
Exemption from Social Security and ObamaCare are two more very obvious examples. These systems are being forced on the American people, yet through their own acts they receive better benefits than those they purport to represent.
I propose the benefits and taxation laws pertaining to the Congress and all federal employees repealed and an inclusion law passed to eliminate the possibility.
