Repeal the marihuana tax act of 1937

Created by D.N. on November 08, 2012

Hemp and marijuana have been subjugated to criminal persecution for too long. Many states and citizens support the legalization of marijuana, so much so that we now have two states in which voters voiced their opinion to make cannabis sativa legal for recreational consumption. The government talks about cutting spending as a means to fix the economy. Well, one such way to do this is to legalize marijuana and hemp; and to stop fighting America’s arguably number one cash crop. The government also talks about clean energy; hemp has the potential to be the number one bio-fuel on the market. The United States is one of, if not the only, industrialized nation on the planet to outlaw the cultivation of hemp.
