The GOP slipped in the "Monsanto Protection Act" into H.R. 933.
If Obama had not signed H.R. 933 into law, the government could have shut down, the Violence Against Women act would have been dead (again), there would be no SNAP or WIC assistance for poor families and more needed provisions would have failed. For these and other reasons, H.R. 933 was a "must pass" bill.
The house GOP used this situation to slip in a company specific "get out of jail free" act. Shame on them for putting the health of the American People at risk, just so Monsanto could avoid responsibility for their actions.
