Whereas, as a result of NAFTA, GATT, CAFTA, and other free trade agreements signed into laws, the United States of America in the past 15 to almost 20 years, has lost 4 million manufacturing jobs due to these laws,
Whereas, many constituents from the town the petitioner lives believe the NAFTA was part of why the Whirlpool Corporation shut down completely its Arkansas plant to ship good paying jobs overseas,
Whereas these free trade agreements have proven to be unfair trade agreements that do not create jobs but export them, giving the United States of America an unfair disadvantage.
And Whereas, these agreements should be repealed and these laws should be abolished.
