Repeal the National Defense Authorization Act

Created by N.T. on December 23, 2012

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) signed by President Barack Obama on December 31st, 2011 violates sixth amendment rights to fair trial. The bill says any citizen of the United States of America can be detained "indefinitely" if they are suspected to have allegiance to terrorists organizations, and without a fair trial or any evidence to prove it. This gives the President of the United States unconstitutional dictatorial rights. The sixth amendment states:
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation."
