Repeal the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984

Created by F.W. on May 12, 2013

The legal age of adulthood has been granted to any persons age 18 and older. A person can legally buy tobacco, pornography, and gamble, as well as get drafted/enlist in the military, at age 18. Studies have shown that the amount of alcohol related deaths decreases upon reaching the legal drinking age. If the drinking age is allowed to be lowered without penalty to 18 the amount of deaths due to underage binge drinking will decrease. Drinking laws are set in the constitution as a reserved power to the state but the government is basically controlling the this power anyway. Let states finally have rights again.
