Repeal the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984.

In 1984, Congress passed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act as a part of the Federal Highway Act, under pressure from special interest groups. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act, or NMDAA, effectively forced states to raise their drinking age to 21 or face a sharp reduction in highway funding.
There are many reasons for the Obama Administration to to consider repealing this law, the most important one being that prohibition has been proven ineffective time and time again. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, about 4 out of 5 college students drink alcohol. Are 4 out of 5 of America's future working professionals really criminals? Prohibiting activity that is legal in most of the civilized world creates a culture of disregard for the law in the U.S.
