Repeal National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984, allowing states to set the drinking age without losing federal funds

Created by S.C. on September 23, 2011

Repealing the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 would allow states to set their own legal drinking age without fear of losing federal highway funding.

It is ridiculous that an 18 year old can serve in the military and die for their country or conversely be tried for a crime as an adult and conceivably face the death penalty, but can't legally buy a beer.

For those that argue the age of 21 reduces auto accidents, then we should make it 25 or 30 and reduce even more accidents!
