The MLDA (Minimal Legal Drinking Age) of 21 is unfair and a restriction to the freedom of those who have the right to vote, marry, sign legal documents, operate a motor vehicles and be a contributing piece to society. 18- to 20-year-old adults should not be denied the enjoyment when other pleasurable activities are legal at age 18. The MLDA causes more accidents in teens because of the iminate fear of legal consequences. Not only would it be fair and cause less accidents the MDLA being lowered would help the economy. More people would legally be able to drink in bars, restaurants, and other licensed establishments. Revenue would increase for private business owners, and greater amounts of tax revenue would be collected by the government. Lower the age, enforce laws, teach responsibility.
