The American Dream states: "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" regardless of social class or circumstances of birth. Yet circumstances of birth prevent many naturalized citizens the ability to become president. No amount of hard work or sacrifice can earn them that right. Why is this the only area in our society in which the American Dream does not apply? Let us take former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example. He is a man who loves his country and who has served the people of California with great distinction during his governorship; and his contribution to American culture is beyond measure. Yet he & all other naturalized citizens cannot be president. This is a great injustice.
