Repeal NDAA

Created by A.L. on January 20, 2012

The National Defense Authorization Act is an egregious usurpation of power by the federal government that grossly undermines civil liberties.

The act allows the indefinite detainment of US citizens WITHOUT CHARGES, DUE PROCESS, ATTORNEY OR TRIAL.

According to the National Lawyers Guild, the NDAA violates the following from the Constitution:

-Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2 (habeas corpus)
-Article 3, Section 3 (Heightened due process for treason)
-Fourth Amendment (Protection from unreasonable seizure)
-Fifth Amendment (Protection of liberties without due process)
-Sixth Amendment (Right to trial, knowledge of charges, counsel, and confronting witnesses)

As well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
