This petition repeals the sections of the NFA that restrict short barreled rifles (SBRs) and short barreled shotguns (SBS's). This would allow gun owners to add a vertical fore grip or stock to their handguns, or install a barrel shorter than 16 inches to their rifles without going through the lengthy and costly process of obtaining an NFA license. It would also allow gun owners to buy shotguns with a barrel length of less than 18 inches without obtaining an NFA license.
