repeal the No Child Left Behind Act.

In 2001, the Bush Administration passed the No Child Left Behind Act. Under this act, more federal funding was given to the states for education, and states had to provide some sort of standards based assessment for their students. Originally, this act was met with great applause, but as time has passed, views on it have changed. Now, teachers "teach to the test", and are often unable to do more interesting or advanced topics, simply because they don't appear on the test. These standards deny advanced students opportunities to take advanced coursework, and to learn about more difficult topics. Some students have even called the law "No Child Go Ahead" act. By repealing this, teachers will be able to focus on teaching and preparing students for not only their future jobs, but their lives.
