Repeal the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLBA)

Created by J.R. on March 19, 2013

"The No Child Left Behind forces schools to overemphasize standardized testing. Effects of this overemphasis include de-enrichment of the curriculum, labeling and tracking of students, false accountability, cultural bias and excessive class time and financial resources devoted to narrow test preparation."
-Mark Mahoney
I, as a student, have been affected by this legislation. It is harder for me to learn as we are rushing to learn new items before the test and even after that we barely can remember. We, as Americans, can change how education works without the need of an Act.
