Repeal the No Child Left Behind Act

Created by B.P. on May 07, 2014

In 2002, President George W. Bush signed the No Child Left Behind Act. This act mandated the usage of standardized tests in all states in order to ensure that students learn the skills needed in order to prepare students for the future. The tests have failed. Tests scores around the nation have dropped dramatically and the US's rankings have slipped internationally. This act also disadvantages students from low-income families. Studies have shown that poverty plays a major role on the results of these tests. The poor children are effectively being left behind. Standardized tests have never been affective tools. We citizens hereby demand that the Obama Administration repeal the No Child Left Behind Act.
