This petition is to repeal the New York State safe act and make assault rifles legal once again in nys because this safe act is violating our 2nd amendment by banning assault rifles. Please take this into serious consideration and sign this petition. This safe act was rushed through nys legislation and this was not well thought out. This safe act is making it harder for the law abiding citizens to get weapons legally for hunting/target and self defense purposes. If a criminal wants to get or use an assault rifle he or she will get their hands on them not worrying about the law because they are criminals. The outdoors and sport shooting and hunting is a way of life for many, especially our young generation and by banning assault rifles is only the first step to taking away all our firearms.
