A congressional spending bill currently being pushed through has a provision which allows an eight fold increase to the amount of money a wealthy donor can contribute to a political party. Clearly this provision favors the rich. In America, where the gap between rich and poor is widening, and middle class families clearly are struggling to survive, this provision will lead to average Americans being disenfranchised further.
