Repeal or let expire the lower capital gains tax rates and 15% tax rate on dividends.

Created by J.P. on November 13, 2012

The reduced tax rate on capital gains and dividends is a benefit for those in higher tax brackets, only. These tax rates are beneficial to those who have money to invest and whose highest tax rate is above 15%. They are not a way to help our country's economic growth. The repeal or expiration of these special rates would be a step in the right direction to balancing the budget in a way that would not harm most taxpayers.
