On behalf of the people of the United States of America. We the people, petition to have an outdated ban on openly transgender and transsexual service members removed. As of March 13, 2014 there are numerous studies that prove how the ban holds no scientific standing. There is no reason an openly transgender or transsexual person can not serve their country. We of the trans community and its supporters reach out to president Obama. The military should allow proud Americans to serve without fear of dishonorable discharge, or any other repercussions for being true to themselves. DADT started the movement, It's time Obama finishes it. Remove the ban and allow all able body Americans to serve their country.
