The electoral college system is outdated and was created for a different America. Popular vote should be the only vote. Whoever the most Americans vote for should win. It doesn't have to apply for this election--it can wait until the next one--but it is preposterous that the person who receives the most votes would not win.
It deters people from voting who would otherwise vote because they worry their vote will not count.
