Repeal the outdated Hong Kong Policy Act (HKPA) to protect US citizens home or abroad by revealing real risks about HK

Created by I.L. on August 22, 2014

Written in 1992, HKPA was to ensure smooth transition of HK. Today, economic, political and population changes all demand it to end; thereafter treat HK with same vigilance and restriction as any communist states. Because:
1 Shanghai-HK Stock Connect. Invest in HK is invest in China, two exchanges are now merged
2 Massive urbanization planned for area near Shenzhen, China. Tough to access from HK’s CBD, Shenzhen will extend far into HK’s countryside
3 Harmonization of Citizenships. HK gov’t is removing all legal distinctions between Chinese and Hongkonger status. Soon, a communist can take up HK passport and key gov’t position
With these changes, HK is now effectively China financially, geographically, and demographically. Repeal HKPA, stop Chinese monies and spies from infiltrating USA
