Enacted on October 26, 2001, the USA Patriot Act (Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act) is and should have been listed as an unconstitutional document proposed by the Bush Administration due to the rise of terrorism.
Having been at perpetual war in the Middle East with Al Qaeda and other suspected terrorist organizations, it is time to repeal this bill as the threat of terrorism inside the United States has decreased tremendously. This bill destroys the 4th amendment, as it allows unreasonable searches and seizures of any person "suspected" of terroristic activities. Government Surveillance on innocent civilians is also not penalized with the PATRIOT act being active.
