The Patriot Act has been shredding the Constitution since its inception, allowing the federal government to violate a citizen's rights if they use codewords like "terrorism". Also, the NDAA allows for Americans to be detained indefinitely without trial. These laws trample on the basic freedoms that every American is supposed to have, and is the perfect example of an overreaching government
