After 911 their was a lot of fear and president bush and congress enacted legislation such as the patriot act which violates the constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of american citizens. Anyone who remembers the pre 911 world knows that the things law enforcement and government agencies do now would have never been tolerated for a second. I propose that by holding people indefinitely in prisons without trial and allowing our government to tap phones without warrants just to name a few are unconstitutional and violate everything we stand for as a country. I propose that we have done more damage to ourselves and our way of life than the terrorists ever did.
