Gun manufacturers reap in billions of dollars from the production and sale of the tools of death and destruction every year, making deadlier and deadlier weapons with which higher numbers of people can be killed in shorter amounts of time, and yet they cannot, by law, be held responsible. This is unconscionable; the gun lobby must he taken to task. Start by repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act of 2005, which makes it impossible for firearms manufacturers and dealers from being held liable for crimes committed with their products.
