Because of Public Law 93-350, enacted July 12, 1974,most retiring military members are not eligible to to work in Federal Law enforcement agencies. The upper age limit for most Federal Law Enforcement Agencies is 37 years old. After 20 years of service you would be 38 years old, making a large number of highly skilled military retirees inelegible to serve in the FBI, US Marshals, and other various agencies in the US Government. This seems a dis service to our veterans and a waste of taxpayers dollars, most retirees come out with security clearances and are in good physical health and could continue to serve this country. Today in America, veterans have some of the highest rates of unemployment in our country.
