A recent march on Raleigh, North Carolina has been made regarding a series of restrictive reforms made by the radical Republican government of North Carolina, which have disregarded the previous provisions of the former Voting Rights Act of 1965, reducing the ability to vote for African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and other racial minorities, and doing the same for the young, the poor, and LGBT people.
All citizens who reside in the United States of America and abide by the laws of our nation deserve an equal opportunity to vote, an opportunity that in no way should be obstructed on account of race, class, creed, or sexuality.
We ask the President of the United States and the United States Congress to call this legislation to attention and repeal it.
