Repeal the Revenue Ruling 2012-18 and Revenue Ruling 59-252. The No Auto Gratuity Ruling.

I have been a career server for 11 years. My income is almost solely provided from large party auto gratuities. I work for a very small business. Because of this ruling, my restaurant no longer allows me to gratuitize large parties. The company I work for would have to completely rework their system to accommodate the new tax initiative. Now my secure income is no longer secure. This is going to effect millions of people, being as though the service industry makes up the largest portions of jobs in America today. Most countries in the world have automatic gratuity factored into the cost of the food. It's inferred. There is no reason why the American service industry should be any different. If nothing can be done about this, there has to be reform on the wage provided to tipped employees.
