The United States Declaration of Independence grants people the right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." The second amendment to the constitution grants people the right to bear arms. While many issues face this country, including mental health, effective policing, and violence, "the right to bear arms," should not be a right but a privilege granted to sane individuals who use weapons responsibly. This "right to bear arms," violates the people's right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness," as it is clearly proven that giving people this right has created unacceptable violence and death.
