Whereas the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States was written in a time when government was more of a threat to the citizens of the country than it has ever been since and, Whereas at the time of the adoption of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, automatic repeating pistols, high speed repeating rifles, and other minor weapons of mass destruction had not yet been invented, NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Second Amendment to the Constitution's Bill of Rights be repealed and the government of the United States and of the individual constituent states shall have the power to regulate or ban such weaponry as they may deem advisable.
