The Second Amendment has outlived it usefulness. The United States has moved beyond the need for a well regulated militia. Our current defense forces are more than sufficient. Gun ownership should be regulated in a similar way to vehicle ownership, with proper training, licensing, insurance, annual inspections, and re-licensing procedures.
