The 2nd Amendment is archaic and no longer relevant. We do not rely on militias for national defense, and weapons technology has progressed so far beyond what the Founding Fathers ever dreamed that it seems reckless to allow high-powered weapons to be distributed pretty much like breath mints. I actually have to jump through more hoops to get allergy medication than I do to buy a gun, especially at gun shows. I am not proposing confiscation, only that possession of firearms no longer be Constitutionally protected.
