Repeal the Second Amendment and outlaw guns

On December 15, 1791, the right to bare arms was adopted into the Constitution. It was created because people wanted to be involved in the local militias and so they could overthrow corrupt governments. However, the year is 2014, and we are living in a different time. There is an established army and government. Guns are not needed anymore by locals, and the only thing guns can cause is harm. Many advocate that they should keep their guns due to "self-defense"; however, if guns were made illegal, guns would not be needed for this. This year, there have already been 13 reported school shootings. How many more can this nation take? Guns are violent weapons that are not needed by citizens and should be limited to policemen and military members.
