Repeal the Second Amendment so that the federal and state governments can sensibly regulate the use of all firearms.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The United States Supreme Court has held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm, regardless of any connection to service in a militia. The Second Amendment is often used by groups such as the National Rifle Association to oppose any limits on firearms, even assault rifles. How many more children have to be butchered before we come to our senses? It's time to repeal the Second Amendment so that the federal and state governments can enact sensible gun control legislation.
