Repeal the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Created by S.S. on October 01, 2015

In 1791, a still young nation ratified a Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reading:

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

224 years ago, this made perfect sense. To protect citizens of the newly formed nation, and more importantly the individual states within this nation, citizens should be allowed to own firearms to aid in its defence.

In 2015, every person in the United States of America has the right to live their life in peace, free from the threat of gun violence. The Second Amended is in direct conflict with this right.

It's time to repeal, and make America safe from gun violence once and for all.
