Repeal section 922(o) of title 18 of the united states code, which prevents individual citizens from owning machine guns manufactured after may 19th, 1986. This law is lame because you can still own machine guns made before 1986 which are, for the most part, functionally and effectively identical to their modern incarnations.
Additionally, there is doubt in some quarters that the act that created this law (mclure-volkmer act) even was legally passed through congress.
The effect of repealing this law would be to allow any citizen 21 years old or older with no criminal record to buy any machine-gun made in the united states as long as he register his personal, firearm specific ownership with the BATFE.
