Amendments IV, V and VI of the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution as well as Articles 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) on the United Nations website http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/index.shtml would strongly prohibit indefinite detention without due process of law in court with a trial before peers. Therefore, Sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act (N.D.A.A) are prohibited by both the Constitution as well as the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. US Judge Katherine Forrest was correct to overturn these sections of the NDAA as unconstitutional. It is now time that you do the right thing and repeal these sections.
