This is important to me because when the government puts gun control laws in place, it restricts my second amendment rights. Removing guns from homes and such leaves families defenseless against a criminal in their home, or even out in public. I agree with strict background checks and keeping guns from the mentally ill; that's just about it. Guns protect if use correctly, and always remember, people kill people, not guns.
