The time has come in history to abandon the theory that having a trade embargo is a benefit to anyone in this Country. The fact that Cuba has been able to survive the embargo for so many years is evidence of the resolve of the nation. How can we as as the strongest and most prosperous country in the world sit back and watch the poor people of Cuba suffer solely because a few politicians insist that the embargo remain in place. It is time for the this Country to take the lead and admit that the embargo serves no useful purpose.
