We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Repeal the Twelfth Amendment and Abolish the Electoral College

Created by C.C. on November 12, 2016

We the People want one vote from any member of the electorate to be just that: one vote. No group of Americans is worth more than another group, which is what this hackneyed institution implies. A voter in Wyoming has four times the voting power of any voter in New York or Florida. Are they four times as important?

In recent years, we have experienced two presidential elections where the will of the people was not represented because of an imbalance of the voters-to-electors ratio between states and the winner take all nature of the system. To uphold fairness and be more democratic, a raw popular vote count should replace the Electoral College.
