Repeal the unconstitutional law prohibiting those convicted of certain MISDEMEANOR crimes from possessing a firearm.

Created by L.C. on November 12, 2012

Put and end to the unconstitutional Lautenberg gun ban. This ban prohibits anyone convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from ever owning a firearm of any kind. This law directly violates the second amendment. If a crime is deemed serious enough to permanently revoke ones right to bear arms then it should not be classified as a misdemeanor. There is no process for restoring ones right to own a firearm with this law, but in most felonies it is possible to have this right restored. A misdemeanor crime is by definition NOT a serious crime.
