Repeal the unfair Continuous Auto Insurance Law that penalizes unemployed workers, students, and veterans!

Created by G.A. on December 12, 2012

This petition is meant to repeal the violation of our personal rights known as the Continuous Auto Insurance Law. People who are unable to get a job such as college students, veterans, and unemployed workers should not be subject to the fees the DMV imposes. When our personal vehicles are parked on private property it should be a personal choice by the consumer to have auto insurance on that vehicle. Many state DMVs have refused to take Non-Use forms from people that are unemployed and can not pay their insurance lapse fees to the DMV. We the people are then charged more fees when we are unable to keep a current insurance policy dispite our best efforts. It's simple, where is the protection for unemployed workers, college students and veterans during these tough economic times
