We must repeal the use of corporate funding towards political campaigns for the following reasons.
1. A corporation is not an 'individual' and therefor should not have the ability to act as a person and use collective wealth towards electoral matters.
2. Corporations funding elections creates a serious conflict of interest due to it essentially amounting to legalized bribery.
3. The massive wealth of corporations creates an unbalanced situation in the elections, making any real 'individuals' contribution almost negligible compared to the typical wealth held by corporations.
The situation at hand essentially turns our elections into a rat race where the highest bidder shall win in most situations. This "selling" of electoral positions is undermining the basic values of our democracy.
