Repeal the Wartime Suspension of Limitations act

Created by S.F. on January 29, 2014

During WWI the govt suspended the statute of limitations during wartime. After the war the law was repealed. It was adapted again for WWII but was never repealed after again. Prosecutors went 50 years without using this loophole. Now for some reason since 2008 prosecutors have used it more than it has ever been used. This undermines a cornerstone of judicial systems in all democracies. The statute of limitations has been part of law in North America since the 1500's. This is another way the government can use it's excessive powers against the little guy
