repeal the WEP and GPO! Be fair to teachers who are being penalized for molding the minds of our future leaders.

I believe that as a retired teacher, I should be able to collect a spousal Social Security benefit, even though I collect a "government" pension. Other retirees who collect a government pension also collect a Social Security pension. I did not pay into Social Security because the State of Illinois would not allow me to (as a teacher), but neither did my mother and mother-in-law and they collected spousal benefits.
