Repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision that impacts those receiving Social Security in 13 states in the United States

Created by P.N. on November 14, 2012

Social Security discriminates against teachers, social workers and others who are considered government employees. Thirteen states have the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) which prevents those who retire from certain jobs from drawing all of their Social Security although they have worked at other jobs where they paid into social security. I draw $99.99 which pays for my part B of medicare and have $7.00 left. The (WEP) impacts people in all 50 states and it would be a benefit to repeal this unfair act.
